At ELEMENTS, we know that the health of our clients is directly linked to the health of the planet. We set up and operate our clinic with the goal of minimizing our negative impact on the Earth. We are always working to do better. ELEMENTS' Green Efforts • Green Printing - All of our commercial printing is done on recycled paper with vegetable based ink. To decrease waste, we print many smaller jobs in-house on recycled paper with refilled cartridges. • Green Cleaning - We use environmentally friendly cleaning products through the office, except in the Colonics Room, where specific bactericidal products are required for patient safety. • Buy Vintage - From the historic building we chose for our office to the furnishings inside, much of what we own has been owned before. • Buy to Last - When we do buy new, we buy for longevity. • Low water Hydrotherapy - We carefully designed our medical spa services to require very little water waste. • Choose green vendors - We preferentially use vendors that share our green philosophy and apply it to their products. • Recycle - We recycle the majority of our trash – including ink cartridges and batteries. • Low Energy Office - We make use of natural light and ceiling fans to keep our office bright and cool. • Live it at home - All the members of ELEMENTS live with these same principles at home. We recycle, drive high efficiency cars, use environmentally friendly cleaning products, buy local organic produce, and strive to always do better than we are doing today. Continuing Efforts • Water Reclamation and Recycling - Though we “waste” very little water, through water reclamation we will be working to use less of this resource. • Composting - We are diverting more of our trash into compost piles, further reducing our contribution to landfills. |
